The Coming End Part 2
No man knows the day or the hour of the end. Scripture is very clear about that. We can know the season or what the conditions in the world are when we are getting close to the end. It seems that preachers, Bible scholars and students of the word of God are all talking about the end and how close it is to the end. Is God sending you a message to prepare yourself, prepare your soul?
Many books in the Bible talk about the end or end times:
Daniel 12:4, 9, 10 – O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the Book, even to the “Time Of The End” The time of the end is not the end of all things here in this scripture, it means the last days of the time of the Gentiles.
Remember, the Bible, the Scriptures are a compilation of books written by Jews about Jews and Gentiles. The Scriptures are made up of 66 books; 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. In the Old Testament we read how God deals with Israel mainly but we also see God work with some Gentiles like Nebuchadnezzar and Pharaoh.
The Old Testament also contains prophesy about a coming Messiah and scripture makes it very clear the coming Messiah was and is Jesus Christ. Just look at Isaiah 53 and many other verses saying he (the Messiah male not female) would be born in Bethlehem, born of a virgin, he would die for the sin of the world. When Jesus Christ came and John the Baptist announced, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world’ not only did mankind learn who Jesus was but so did Satan.
The Jews rejected Jesus Christ as their Messiah and God turned to the Gentiles and offered them salvation and for 2,000 years God has offered salvation to Jews and Gentiles. But scripture makes it clear the time of the Gentiles will come to an end, see Romans 11:25,26 – “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.” (Emphasis added by me).
The coming end I am talking about is this time the time when the fulness or the last Gentile decides to repent and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. And when that last Gentile gets saved, the fulness of the Gentiles has come in and then God moves into another area of scripture.
So let us look at why so many people are talking about, studying and claiming we are near the end, next time.
