Visible And Invisible Worlds

The wrath of God is going to be revealed – from heaven – against those who hold the truth  in unrighteousness.

Unrighteousness can be one act or habitual violation of God’s word. So God is going to, from heaven, reveal his wrath against those who mess with his word and teach contrary to the truth in his word.

So when we look at those teaching people how to know they will go to heaven, how to get saved, how to live God’s way, we find 4 basic forms of “perceived” Christianity.

1.) Orthodox – These teachers camp on their traditions. They have specific clothes they wear specific ways. They adopt their own terminology,  their own books and even create their own bible blending in their traditions. Their’s is a faith in tradition, works and processes. These people are not taught what God says about matters because they have their own traditions and books. If you are in a “church” like this, I urge you to get out.

2.) The Business Christian – These are those who think they are a Christian and they attend church to make connections, business or personal. They are taught it is who you know to get ahead and know it is good for business. An example is Ananias and his wife Sapphira in Acts 5 when they sold land and kept part of money but showed people they gave all. It was business.

3.) The Casual “Christian” is taught going to a church, any church, on Christmas and Easter is good enough. You have done your “duty” to God. Learning about God or having a relationship with God is farthest from their mind.

4.) The Christian that loves God from their heart and they want to please God. They are taught that knowing God is a relationship. But even this group has their carnal Christians and their spiritual Christians.

We have a few posts explaining the carnal Christian:

In Head or Heart Salvation and also in Decisions In Flesh Or Spirit which also points out how Christians get mad at God and quit or walk away from God.  Carnal minded Christians are caught up with the cares of this world. This is explained in our post Carnal Christian vs Spiritual Christian

The spiritual Christian understands the invisible made the visible. They understand there is a spirit world and we are in spiritual battles. The world we live in was made by the invisible world,

Romans 1:19-20 KJV “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
[20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse”

This type of “Christian” teaches people they can know God, have a relationship with God and they teach this life is all about the spirit realm conquering the physical.  Paul explains this in
2 Corinthians 4:16 KJV “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” So as Paul teaches us in Romans 1:20, the invisible created our visible world, Paul explains the things we see in this physical world are not permanent,
2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Which brings me to living as a spiritual Christian and not carnal. Friends, we have to get a grip on this world is not our home. We are just passing through this world. God has set a certain amount of time we each have in this world. God has given each of us special gifts and talents unique to how he created us as individuals.  We have just so much time to use those gifts and talents for his glory and share the Gospel of salvation to teach others how to really be saved, in their heart and mind. Live for the invisible world, not the visible.  Until next time.
