How Do You Know You’re Right
I want to lay a little foundation here. Tomorrow’s post will help bring this into focus and you will see where I am going with this. You know my focus is on our spirit, soul and body and how each of these work in our life. If we are not only going to claim the promises of God, we want to see these promises come to fruition. That is the purpose of the next few posts, how you can really see God work in your life. But I must lay a foundation first.
When you look at the overall picture of mankind in this world and you have a general sense that one day you will die people ask, then what? And how can you be sure of the “Then what”?
Many people do not believe the Scriptures, the Bible. Most have their own books to study. Whatever the case, mankind stakes his eternal soul on what they believe to be true. When a baby is born, they are raised in a family that has their own beliefs. Children grow up believing what they are taught. Beliefs are reinforced through experiences, books and examples of people who live now or before them.
People live to be 70, 80 or a 100 years and then their body dies. Their body is buried in a grave, their spirit goes back to the Lord who gave it and their soul, their mind, will and emotions go to heaven or hell. They can never change their mind after death. So they can not change their eternity.
Most all religions have their own theology and base their theology on a man or person they follow. This man or person most likely lived on earth, had some type of lifestyle and set examples and taught others. When children grow up, some start to question the teachings or lack thereof of their parents and family. These children set out to discover the “real” truth.
When we look at the whole picture, we see a plethora of religions. So how do we as human beings make the right decisions? Let me share some examples. Some “teachers” include –
Zen Buddhism – a religious teaching introduced to Japan from China. It originated with the Rinzai sect in 1191 AD and Dogen founded the Soto sect in 1227. So what happened to all the people before then? Where did they go? Heaven or hell?
Then we find Confucius, Harry Krishna, Joseph Smith and Mormonism, then Mary Baker Eddy and Christian Science, Charles Russell and Jehovah Witnesses, Herbert W Armstrong now under Tomorrow’s World who started in 1912-1920 and his wife convinced him that all the churches were wrong. She said they needed to keep the 10 Commandments to go to heaven. Don’t know how they explained away –
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Then we see Islam and they teach Mohammed ‘s way. America has dealt with Islam during our founding. Read about the Barbary Wars & Barbary Pirates. Islam was banned in America. On June 27, 1952 Public Law 414 and found in Chapter 2 Section 212, by definition prohibits Islamic immigration, prohibits the Koran, Sharia law and prohibits the Hadith. Barack Obama has ignored these laws and promoted Islamic immigration under a refugee guise. Islam is a religion based on Mohammed and a religion of sex and sexual conduct, hence their 77 virgins teaching. Sex is a pleasure of the flesh, not the soul and spirit.
Then we have Judism. A religion based on knowing God the Creator. And knowing God would send a Messiah, a Deliverer to make all things right and take us to heaven. Judism became so steeped in tradition that they missed all the prophecies regarding their Messiah and when he came, they crucified him. But proof was coming to those who would believe. Not only did Jesus Christ claim to be the “one prophesied” in their books, but he claimed to be God himself in the flesh.
When we look at the life of Jesus Christ and the good he did, miracles and even when they crucified him, he proved he could conquer death and the grave by raising from the dead. All the tombs of “teachers” from these other religions have remains of “their man” Except for Jesus Christ. His tomb not only is empty, there is nothing in his tomb but burial cloth. Plus Jesus showed himself after he rose from the dead to his disciples, friends and over 500 people.
So of all these “teachers” who profess they know the truth, the real way to God and heaven, mankind has a decision to make. Who will mankind choose as their “teacher”? Who will mankind follow? Who will mankind believe? Who will you believe?
Which brings me to my point. If you choose or chose Jesus Christ, then there are things that we can expect from God and know about God, eternity and how to be sure, 100%, that you will go to heaven no matter what and, how we can have victory in this world, in life. Until next time my friend.
