What Is Falling From Grace

Falling from grace is not loosing your salvation. Grace is unmerited, undeserved kindness and favor. So falling from grace is falling from undeserved kindness and favor. Salvation is for by grace ( undeserved kindness and favor ) are ye saved through faith.  Faith is what saves people – and that not of yourself it is a gift from God. Faith is believing something you can not see. ( See How To Get Saved from our Menu above ).

Seeing / sight is a flesh attribute.  Sight is one of the 5 senses of the flesh. So faith is something your flesh can not see – faith is invisible to your flesh. Faith has nothing to do with your flesh. Faith is a ” spirit ” attribute. Your spirit man operates in faith, has faith, lives by faith, works by faith. Faith is all about your spirit man.

So when Paul says in 2 Corinthians 6:1-18 receive not the grace of God in vain – what was Paul talking about? Vain means worthless, having no substance, no value or importance. Fruitless, ineffectual. Paul is telling us, when we receive the grace of God, it should have an effect on us. It should have some value or importance to us. Why is it important that God’s grace have an effect on us?  Because Paul is about to lay out and to explain 2 Corinthians 6:1-18 is key to living a happy, free, prosperous and fulfilling life in Christ.

Paul explains in 2 Corinthians 6, what we do, how we should do it, what the world will think and how God helps us. So I have an assignment for you. I am going to post the first 11 verses at the end of this post. In those 11 verses there are 3 sections. I want to see if: 1 – you can find the 3 sections in the first 11 verses. And 2 – see if you can find the parts for each section.

Section 1 has 10 things Christians ( ministers of God) go through. Once you find the 10 things, next to each, write if it applies to your spirit, soul or your flesh/your body.

Then in verses 6 & 7 Paul explains how we go through these things. Paul lists 9 ways. Write down the 9 ways.

And in verses 8-10 we see a contrast. We see what the world sees about us and what God sees. There are 9 things the world sees and all 9 are contrasted with what God sees.  Below are the verses and we will pick it up from here next time.

2 Corinthians 6:1-11 KJV
We then, as workers together with him , beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
[2] (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured (delivered from difficulties) thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
[3] Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
[4] But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
[5] In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults (riots), in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
[6] By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
[7] By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
[8] By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
[9] As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
[10] As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
[11] O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
