Making A Choice In Society
God created the heavens and the earth and everything in the earth, including man. God, as Creator, is the giver of life. See Genesis 1. Even the Declaration of Independence (adopted by the Continental Congress in Philadelphia July 4th, 1776) declares we have a Creator. It states it is “self-evident” that mankind is endowed (furnished with goods) by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
At the end of the Declaration of Independence the founding fathers stated they appeal “to the Supreme Judge of the world” and “with a firm reliance on the Protection of Devine Providence”. It is clear, America was set up and governed under the Supreme Judge of the world. No, this is not a history lesson.
Over the years, people lived according to God’s word and laws. I remember as a child, businesses did not open on Sundays. Most Americans went to church and spent time with God and their families. We had school prayer and church school. The Bible was taught in school. Then, some political people were elected that did not believe God and they nominated judges who did not believe God.
These younger judges saw things outside of God’s word and started changing the laws in America, against God’s word. Sadly, politicians were weak – minded and did not stop them and neither did the church leaders or the people. So school prayer was abolished. The killing of innocent babies was legalized through abortion. Question: Has God too changed his mind about prayer, about murder? So what does one do?
When America was established as a nation, the laws were based on the Supreme Judge, the scriptures. That is one reason the 10 Commandments were in public schools and even today, 2016, you see scripture etched into the historical buildings including the Capitol and the US Supreme Court. And God blessed America. But the tides are shifting.
Since the early 1960s unbelievers have thrown God out. And even a complete political party threw God out of their party at the Democratic Convention. Unbelievers set up their leaders in “public” schools and then they took over the schools.
Prior to 1910 there were local school houses. In 1910 they started building schools. By 1940, 50% of Americans had high school diplomas. And in the 1960s John Dewey’s ideas for education were implemented. John Dewey was a progressive who wrote Socialism is Christianity. Based on Dewey’s methods of education, under President Jimmy Carter the national board of education was established on 10/17/1979 and began operating “government run schools” May 4, 1980.
Americans watched the slow transition of implementing Dewey’s socialism in schools starting in the 1950s through the complete takeover of education in 1979. New terms started infiltrating the English lexicon. Words and meanings began to change. Some words were relabeled inappropriate and political correctness was born in America.
Political Correctness is defined as a way to “describe language” , policies, or measures which are intended not to offend people or a society.
Political is defined as pertaining to policy, civil government and it’s administration. So by definition, Political Correctness is the policy of government to define how you say things so you do not offend people. By definition, it is the civil government regulating your speech so you do not offend someone. Hence we have “new words and phrases” developed by government. New words like “hate speech”, participants instead of losers, gay or homosexuals instead of sodomites or fagot, queer, untruths for liar, whore or schacking up, adulterer, sex pervert to child predator. One of the most used PC phrases is “keeping you safe”.
One has to ask, why would a government want to redefine your speech? Why would a government want to remove history, (flags, monuments, celebrations)? This new method is against everything God’s word teaches. God even tells us, Romans 16:17-18 KJV “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
Sadly, I see America slipping. It truly breaks my heart. This is no longer the same country I grew up in. What motivated this post? I saw and listened to a Baptist preacher’s 45 minute sermon on what happened in Orlando Florida. No, not Westboro or related. The preacher gave roughly 25 different scriptures on what God says about sodomites. He explained how sodomy is an evil and wicked thing and God hates it so much he destroyed several cities engaged in sodomy. After the sermon I scrolled to read the comments from the viewers. The overwhelming response was against the preacher and all the preacher did was read God’s word. There were a few, very few, who supported the preacher reading what saith the Lord.
And sadly, it shows how ignorant (or is it “uninformed”) Americans have become with God and his word. Do you really think God is going to change his mind, his laws and his ways for a government redefining speech? Do you think God was lying when he called believers to come out from among them? Where is the fear of God in America?
2 Corinthians 6:15-17 KJV “And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them ; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing ; and I will receive you,”
The world hated Jesus Christ and if you take a stand for God, His word and Jesus Christ, the world will hate you too. But know this, judgment day is coming and we will all stand before the real Supreme Court.
