Let’s Pretend

I use to ask God – are we all pawns in a type of chess game? After all, we have God and good and Satan and evil. The prize? Man.

When I looked at the overall picture – I realized – NO – Not Pawns. Consider God for a moment. God is the Creator, all powerfull, all knowing and he decides things as Creator. Put yourself in God’s shoes for a minute. Let’s pretend.

Here you are, God. And you want friends and people to talk to, so you create angels and beings. You let your created angels and beings know you have set some guidelines (because you are all knowing). You set guidelines and love them.

You set up 3 main assistants and you call them archangels, Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer. You set your 3 assistants in charge of specific areas. Then you decide to create the sun, moon, stars, planets and you select Earth to expand your creation, including man.

You tell man, he has dominion or rule and authority over the Earth and everything in the Earth. Just like you set up heavenly leaders, you set man up as the leader of the earth. All of course are under your authority and guidance.

But then, some of your angels start to rebel against you. And you see one of your main assistants in heaven, Lucifer, is leading the charge against you. What would you do? Scripture says Lucifer took 1/3 of the angels with him.

Angels, scripture says, are spirits.
Psalm 104:1-4 KJV “Bless the Lord , O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
[2] Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
[3] Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
[4] Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:”

Spirits do not have flesh and bone Jesus said. Luke 24:39 KJV “Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”

We know God cast Lucifer out of heaven, changed his name to Satan, the Devil, and cast the “fallen angels” the angels that rebelled with Lucifer, out of heaven. Satan has access to God but heaven is no longer his and he has no authority there any longer. Where does Satan go? Earth. Why? To get man to turn against God. Remember,  Satan is leading a rebellion against God.

So no, we are not pawns, but God wants us to choose whose side we want to be on. The interesting thing:

1 ~ God tries to convince man through man’s heart and spirit. Remember, God gives life and the spirit is life, the breath of life.

God goes after man’s heart because man’s heart sets your path in life. What is in your heart is what you do.

God uses his word to convince you to choose him and his ways.

2 ~ Satan uses your flesh, your body and your soul, your mind, will and emotions. He tries to stimulate your flesh, your body. He also tries to get to your soul, your mind. And because he is a liar, he convinces people what they think or the stimulants of their flesh is what matters.

God goes after the heart and spirit and that’s why we are told to renew our mind with his word and crucify our flesh ‘ s lusts. By Satan going after the flesh and soul, he knows it is the soul that spends eternity in heaven or hell. If Satan can get a lot of souls to reject God and his word, he can deny God the fellowship he wants.

We know God is patient and merciful but friends, the clock is running out. Time for you to decide and pick a team. If you choose to pick God’s team, click How To Be Saved in our Menu and please believe on and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour before it is too late.

Until next time.
