Or Don’t You Care?

Most “cuss” words deal with sex, poop, your butt/hiney, and other private body parts. We all have private body parts but for some reason, people think they are “cool” if they come up with a new name for their private body parts and say that new word in anger, they become cool cuss words. In reality, people who cuss show they are ignorant and illiterate.

When you think of a “figure of speech”, what figure does speech have? Can you imagine if it really rained cats and dogs?

We are in a time the world calls Christmas time. The word means Christ  mas. A mass for Christ. What is a mass? Others say, Jesus is the reason for the season. The season of what? You know me, I am a word person. These words matter so I look at them closely. Words should matter to you because Jesus said in Matthew:36, 37 KJV, ” But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. ”

If what the world calls “Christmas” is really a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, what gift did you buy Jesus? How did the world come up with December 25th when scripture teaches Jesus was most likely born in October? What scripture do they use to support December 25th? How do you explain exchanging gifts with family and friends for Jesus’ birthday? Shouldn’t all the gifts go to Jesus? Or don’t you care?

If ” Christmas ” is really celebrating the birth of Jesus, what does a “Christmas tree” have to do with Jesus’ birthday? Some people even worship the tree. The sing to a dead tree songs like O Christmas Tree. TO A TREE!!! How does singing to a dead tree celebrate Jesus’ birthday?

And who came up with Santa Claus bringing presents to people, especially to children (who are easily influenced ) in a sleigh with 8 reindeer and later discover Rudolph? And all this ties into celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, HOW?

Do people even think anymore? Have you ever read the scriptures? Or don’t you care about what God says? You say it is tradition and what does it matter? It is not hurting anyone.

Matthew 15: 1-3 and verse 9 KJV,  ” Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2. Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

9. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. ”

I learned a long time ago, on judgment day, I will give an account for me and my son until my son was set free and accountable for himself. God warns each of us in 1 Corinthians 3: 10-19 KJV, ” According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13. Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
18. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. ”

When we are told about defile the temple, that is to say our body, Jesus explained in Matthew 15:18 KJV, ”
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.”

If you have “traditions” in your heart that go against scripture, and you teach your children to participate in those traditions, according to scripture, you are teaching your children the way of the ” heathen ” the unbelievers. Or don’t you care what God has to say about it?

Jeremiah 10:1-6 KJV,  ” Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
2. Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
6. Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. ”

When you teach your children the way of the heathen, to celebrate pagan celebrations, God will hold you accountable. Or don’t you care what God says?  Maybe you are afraid of being mocked if you stop now. Think of those who mocked Noah and those who listened to Jonah. Two different outcomes.

Today, even so-called “churches” have brought paganism into the body of believers. Do a study on what God has to say about trees at the alter.

You want to celebrate exchanging gifts? Pick another day. What about your families birthdays?

Can you name God’s holidays? Can you describe what festivals and celebrations God supports and endorses? Or don’t you care? God never tells us to celebrate Jesus’ birthday but he does tell us to celebrate his death, burial and resurrection. And not with egg hunts and bunnies. Or don’t you care?

Have you ever read what God wrote in a volume of a book? How can you say you love God and follow Jesus if you never even read his word? His instruction manual? Or don’t you care? When your life’s journey on this earth comes to an end, you will care then. Why not lay out your 2019 goals and plans now while you have time. Maybe it is time to reset your life and see what God has to say to you. Hear ye HIM!

What Happens After Death? Part 3

We have learned we have a spirit, a soul and a body. We have also learned, before someone gets “saved”, “born again”, their spirit man is dead unto God because of sin from Adam and Eve. But once a person truly believes in their heart that Jesus Christ paid their sin debt on the cross, with his blood, and receives Jesus Christ in to their heart as Lord and Saviour, God forgives them and saves their soul and quickens (makes alive) their spirit man.

No where in scripture, does God tell us every person who ever lived, goes to heaven. God’s word makes a clear distinction between good and evil and God tells mankind to choose good.

Deuteronomy 30:19  “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: ”
Joshua 24:15  ”  And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. ”

God created mankind with a freewill to choose his own path. Mankind chooses his path while his spirit man is dead unto God. If a person chooses God, believes God and acts on what God says, that person is “saved“. In the Old Testament, the people had laws to keep. God gave them the laws to show them they could never keep every single one of the laws, but people tried to keep them. So God comes into the world as a man in the person of Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 3:16 ” And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. ”

Jesus explains why he came, to save people. Save them from what? Death, hell and the grave. To save them from an eternity without him. God is light. He is the God of the living, not the dead.

God keeps records and in heaven, he has the Book of Life. Those who are saved, their names are in the Book of Life. But those who are unbelievers, not saved, their name is in the other books, (see Revelation 20:12).

So what happens to believers and unbelievers when their body dies? Jesus told the disciples.

Luke 16:19-31 KJV ” There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21. And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
28. For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. ”

Notice, one person, the begged (believer) is carried by angels, to heaven. Believers, once they die in their body, are carried by angels to heaven. Remember when Moses died? The devil fought with Michael the archangel over Moses’ body?

The fleshly body of a believer is buried in the grave. Their spirit and soul go to heaven where at the resurrection, believers get a new glorified body like Jesus got when he rose from the dead.

Unbelievers, notice, go to hell. Their body is buried in the grave, their spirit (life) goes back to God according to Ecclesiastes 8:8 and 12:7. Their soul ( mind, will and emotions) go to hell where they are tormented.

Notice Revelation 20:10-15 where we are told after the unbelievers are judged by God,
” 12. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. ”

And who else is put, by God, into the lake of fire? Revelation 20:10 KJV ”  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. ”

When people truly get saved, it is not about saying a prayer. It is not about changing your behaviour or life. It is not about following a religious denomination (publicans). It is about coming to God through Jesus Christ as God manifest in the flesh, and asking God to forgive you. You believe on Jesus Christ and what he did, paid for all your sin with his blood at the cross. Believe in your heart. Believe he rose from the dead and ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you. Then live for Jesus and get a King James Bible (free online) and read it.

We know God is keeping records throughout the generations. I personally believe everyone who is born is in the Book of Life until they get to an age of accountability. Then, if they reject Jesus, their name is blotted out of the Book of Life and their name is put into the unbeliever’s books. Just do a word study on blot and blotted.

Exodus 32:33 ” And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. ”

Look at Psalm 143 ” A Psalm of David.
1. Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.
2. And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
3. For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
4. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
5. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.
6. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
7. Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
8. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
9. Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
10. Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
11. Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
12. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant. ”
