Time To Make Things Plain

Many people have asked questions about the chaos in our world today. They ask a variety of questions about churches, leadership, professing “believers” who walk away from God, from church, from their family and other questions.

We get questions like if someone says they are saved and they kill someone, are they still saved? And, if someone says they are saved and they stop going to church, are they still saved?

I have been thinking a lot about what is going on in the world and how people, churches, believers and even myself, how are we explaining and understanding events in the light of Scripture.

The Lord has put it on my heart to look at common questions and make things plain. This post is the first of this series Time To Make Things Plain. I pray this series will answer your questions and help you get grounded in truth. Let me give you five verses to read, study and write out.

Romans 8:1-5

1. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

I suggest you get a spiral notebook and take notes, write out verses and questions and answers. Then search the scriptures daily to see if these things are so. We only get one shot through this life. When we die we can not make changes. Be sure you are grounded in truth and you know the way. Why?

Matthew 7:13,14 says

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Notice the last six words in Matthew 7:14 and few there be that find it. Few, few find it. To find something, you have to search for it. And only few will find it. So buckle up as we search to find it. Until next time.
