Question God
Several months ago I was challenged on things in my life. I started asking God a bunch of questions about things going on in my life. I did not understand God’s answer to me. The most frustrating thing for me, was not understanding his answer. He did answer me but I couldn’t understand the answer and I did not know why I did not understand. Now I understand God’s answer and I understand why I did not understand his answer at first. So I want to share with you, my readers all over the world, what God showed me.
God showed me my answer rested in Proverbs 22:17-21 KJV. Here are those verses.
I read these verses over and over again. Like my normal learning process goes, I wrote the verses out on a piece of paper. Then I underlined key words (which help explain the subject matter). Then I would insert two questions; why and how if they fit. By inserting why and how into the verses, it reveals the process and explains what God is saying.
Remember, I am a word person and in all the schools I have been through, my highest scores were always reading comprehension. To me, words matter and how those words are spoken, really matters.
God hides treasures in or behind common things. Proverbs 25:2 ” It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”
Look at Moses. A baby in a basket the world saw, but God knew he would use Moses to deliver Israel from bondage. Look at King David, a shepherd boy tending flock and his family did not think David was going to be anything. But God saw the future king of Israel. Look at the disciples, tax collector, fishermen, etc. Yet these men spread the gospel throughout the whole world. Look at the apostle Paul, the apostle to the church age.
Scripture says God formed each of us in our mother’s womb. God planted seeds of destiny and purpose in us, in the womb. Often, the world and even our family and friends do not see us the way God sees us. People are often judged by their past or their vocation not their abilities and gifts from God.
Paul the apostle tells us about words in 1 Timothy 6: 3-5 KJV.
So try this. Do what I did and see if you understand more clearly what God is saying.
Write out Proverbs 22:17-21 KJV. Underline key words. Then after verse 18 write, why. You will notice God answers the why. Plus, God explains the process.
Next time, we will look at application of these verses to our life. Until next time.
