Sifting Truth From Error
Two points I want to mention and we will look at one of the two points here, today (Point Two), and we will look at the other point in the next post.
Point One: What does Scripture define as being born again?
Point Two: Some say the scriptures never say the temple will be rebuilt.
Students of the word of God can watch events happening in this world, this physical world, and based on Scripture, these students can see spiritual truth and fulfilment.
Some “believers” are saying the temple does not need to be rebuilt for the tribulation scriptures to be fulfilled. Let God be true and every man a liar. Clearly Scripture does say the temple has to be rebuilt. Where?
2 Thessalonians chapter 2.1-5 KJV
1¶ Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Now if you are using a watered down version of the scriptures instead of the original King James, then the word temple may not be there. Just like in Colossians 1:14 the watered down “new” versions take the word blood out of verse 14. Why? It is the blood of Christ that cleanses us from all sin.
The point is, in 2 Thessalonians 2, Scripture clearly says the man of sin (Satan) son of perdition, will sit where? Verse 4, in the temple of God. Case closed!
How can the son of perdition sit in the temple of God if there is no temple of God? He can not.
And to use the argument the word ‘rebuilt” is not in that verse is crazy. The word trinity is not in the Bible but God calls it the Godhead. The word Bible is not in the Scriptures yet we have a Bible.
And Luke the physician, he wrote the Gospel of Luke and in Acts chapter one (which Luke also wrote) Luke called his writing a treatise not the Gospel of Luke.
Scripture clearly states there will be a “temple of God” and the man of sin will sit in that temple and falsely declare himself God. And according to Scripture, many people around the world will believe the lies of the man of sin.
Friends, don’t take man’s word about things of God. Search the Scriptures prayerfully, asking God Almighty to reveal the truth to you and he will.
Until next time.

What You Thought
Imagine growing up thinking thinking the earth was flat only to find out later in life, the earth is round. How would you react to that discovery?
Thing of it is, had you known what the Scripture says about the earth, you would have known the earth was not flat.
Isaiah 40:22 KJV — It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
Later, pioneers would sail the oceans and discover, indeed, the earth is a circle. But what about all those people who had lived before that discovery? They went to their grave believing the earth was flat.
But the people who knew the scriptures or those who believed God and his word, they knew the earth was a circle. These people did not need proof, they just believed God and his word. And now we see images from satellites, images from space that prove the earth is a circle. The earth is round, not flat. And yes, there are some who still choose to believe the earth is flat. Those who believe the earth is flat, they reject the scriptures, they reject God and they reject the images from space.
So when these people who reject God and his word die in their mortal body and go into eternity, I wonder what they will think when God shows them they were wrong in their belief. What will those unbelievers think when God shows them they were deceived?
Now take it a step further. I wonder what all those people will think when they go into eternity and realize their family and friends are not where they thought they would be.
People believe all kinds of things and many beliefs are not based on what God says. Many beliefs are based on what mankind says or thinks Scripture says. Another words, many people believe in people interpreting Scripture for them and not what God actually says.
When God says you must be born again of the Spirit and the Word (John chapter 3) then you must be born again or you will not go to heaven. You choose to believe or reject God telling you that.
When God says you are saved not by any works you do (see Ephesians 2:8,9) then why would you try to keep a bunch of rules or laws to go to heaven? You choose to believe what God says or reject what God says.
God does not send people to hell, people send themselves to hell by rejecting God and what God says.
Luke 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
And look at Matthew 7:13,14
13¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
When I heard a preacher preach on Matthew 7 years ago, his message stuck with me. Why? Because he emphasized the words many and few. He said the way that leads to destruction, many, many, many are going that way. And the way that leads to life, few, few, few, few find this way.
Once you die you can not go back and get saved. You must get saved before, before, before your mortal body dies. Have you decided to be in the few who find life? What about your husband or wife? What about your children?
How to get saved is in our Menu. Please choose life in Christ. Until next time.
